Life Couldn't Be Better

Hello, dear friends!

I was hanging out with my Star Wars Weekends family at a party the other night, and the show director asked me how I was.  I responded, "Life couldn't be better," to which he replied, "That is the best answer I've ever heard."  It's a true one, and here's why. :)

The month started off as perfect as it could come, because JOE GRADUATED!!!! I could not be happier or more proud of my boyfriend! :D  He graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Information Technology.  Yeah, he's pretty smart. ;)  Our roommate Jackie, his mom, stepdad, brother, sister, Papa, and Gram all came to the graduation, and then Jackie and I threw Joe a Star Wars themed ("The Force is Strong with This One!") graduation party, which was quite successful. :)

That same weekend, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet more of Joe's extended family, as we all went to Hoop Dee Doo Revue to celebrate Gram's 70th birthday, which included his mom, stepdad, brother, sister, Papa, Gram, Aunt Barbara, and Aunt Patty.  A couple days later, the immediate family (and me) went to Applebee's to celebrate Joe's stepdad's birthday as well.  :)  Joe's family is hilarious when all together, and I felt so welcomed and loved by all of them.  Papa even took me aside and told me to "hang onto that boy; don't let him out of your sight!"  Okay, Papa. :D

The next big thing that happened this month is of course Star Wars Weekends.  I made it to primary this year, so I will be performing each of the 12 days of the event. :D  The show at the end of each day, Hyperspace Hoopla, is the biggest it's ever been, and I even get to pretend I'm a hip-hop dancer for part of it! :D  I'm sure you can youtube it and watch the fun for yourself. :D  The cast is fantastic, and the family atmosphere is incredible this year; I'm so blessed to be a part of SWW again! :D

Last but not least, I have finally gotten my act together (pun intended) and gotten my headshot and resume completed!  I was motivated when my friend (a fellow short performer like myself) auditioned and got accepted into the clown trio, Giggle Gang, at Magic Kingdom.  I decided to audition myself, but I needed a headshot and resume first.  Now that those are out of the way, I just have to wait to hear about the upcoming audition dates! :D  I'm so excited and nervous; it'll be the first time that I'm auditioning for a sub-Equity (acting union) contract! :D

In all of this though, I have learned the power of relationships.  Especially with trying to audition for a bigger role, I have encountered only positive, supportive people who help with tips and connections.  My pastor Sammy Pawlak once said, "Our greatest wealth is always in our relationships."  Amen!

The best relationship I have is with my Abba, and it is a daily awe-inspiring treat to realize that He dreams bigger than I do and yearns to lavish me with blessings.  To Him be the glory forever and ever!  Amen.

I love you all, and may God's glory shine on you today.
Megan
