The Not-So-Lazy Days of Summer

Hello, my friends!

Here it is, already at the end of June! I was too busy having fun to realize that time was passing so quickly. Time isn't about to slow down anytime soon, either. It's enough to find time to blog! :)

Star Wars Weekends has come and gone for yet another year, and what a year it was! Part of me knows that if it lasted longer than a month, some might get tired of it, and it would lose its saltiness. All the same, I can't wait till next year! The highlights were definitely sharing a break room with Jay Laga'aia and of course trading with tons of kids and kids at heart. I was given pictures of my Jawa with repeat guests, which are now hanging on my wall, plus I have some pressed flowers and also a birthday candle given to my Jawa by two sweet girls (the candle was so my Jawa wouldn't be afraid of the dark). So cute! :)

Chewbacca and the Jawas won once in the Hyper Space Hoopla (they should've won at least one other time..), and that show can be found on Youtube at http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=E2E60A92E74E747D&search_query=Hyper+Space+Hoopla+2009. :D The last set of the last day of the Weekends ended perfectly. My Jawa had just traded a Custodian some beads for his large garbage bin, and as my Jawa was walking around with his new "droid collector," wondering how to make an exit with the thing, out jump two Jedi wannabe kids who whip out their lightsabers and shout, "Attack!" My poor Jawa had to abandon the "droid collector" and was chased, literally, offstage! :D I was laughing for a good five minutes after that. :D Thus ended the Weekends.

So, onto the next big happenings. Some delegates from NNU have come to Orlando for a Nazarene Conference until Monday, so I am hoping to spend the weekend with them, whether it's having them meet Mickey or simply sharing a lunch and getting caught up with how life is going for them. :) I've also set aside some vacation time in July to visit home for a couple of weeks, and I can't wait! :D Before that, though, are rehearsals to learn the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It Street Party at Magic Kingdom, which is another dream come true, and after my two week vacation, I come back and am in rehearsals for the Halloween Parade. :) There goes the summer, I guess! :D

I hope the summer has been just as full (if not more so) of the joys and loves that I have come to experience these last couple of months. If you are visiting Orlando, I hope to see you soon! If you are in Idaho when I visit in a month, I hope to see you then, and if you're a friend no matter where you are, I hope to see you sooner or later! :D God bless!
