What a celebration!

My goodness, it seems everyone is celebrating lately! Here it is Mardi Gras today, so I know many will be "celebrating" their last day before Lent begins. I am celebrating by having overnight rehearsals for the Fantasmic show at Hollywood Studios. :P Aside from Mardi Gras, however, Disney has come up with this year's theme for their resorts, which is "Celebrate Today!" To be honest, I first thought this idea seemed corny to the max; if we were to celebrate the everyday, isn't that the same as promoting mediocrity? Then I took a deeper look at it and realized that it is not so much celebrating the everyday as it is celebrating every day. Each and every day is a unique gift from God for us to enjoy and celebrate! It could be a birthday, an anniversary, or simply another day in which to be alive, shining in the abundant joys God lavishes on us.

I have so much to celebrate and be thankful for lately. I am cross-training in another role in the Fantasmic show, which I absolutely love, and my roommate and I signed the lease to our new townhome yesterday! We plan to move in the latter part of April when our current lease is up, but oh, how I wish I could move in last week! I've also been continually blessed with friends, whether it is old friends dropping me a letter, an email, a voicemail, or a visit to Disney (my mom and some family friends came for a week this past month :D)or it is new friends sharing coffee with me or chatting with me over any topic from our fellow furry friends to faith itself.

I hope that as we head into the Lenten time, you are able to rest in the realization of God's blessings in your life and the cause for celebration which your life creates. :D Until my next blog, remember to celebrate today!

Totally! Every day should be celebrated! And we should look for things to celebrate within it! I just love you and your optimism!
